Classes
Overview[edit]
To overcome every challenge the world of Ragnarok Oblivion will throw at you, choosing a combination of fighting styles with a good balance of talents is crucial.
This is done by assigning your characters a Class (sometimes referred as Job). A character's current Class determines its base HP, base MP, available skills and class Stat bonuses.
There is a myriad of classes to choose from, and many synergies between them to discover. As you level them up, new classes become available, branching into more specialized combatants. Each has its own set of skills to master, many of which inherited by subsequent classes on the branch, and some even being enhanced.
Unlockables[edit]
Classline[edit]
Your party starts out with 3 members, each one from one of the 3 first tier classes (T1): Warrior, Scout and Apprentice. As you reach the maximum class level of each tier, the next tier of that classline gets unlocked.
T1 Max level: 25
T2 Max level: 40
T3 Max level: 50
Party slot increase[edit]
When you reach max class level on 2 of the first 3 classes, a new character slot is granted after each, to a final total of 5 party members.
From then on, the choice of which class to choose and level up is completely yours.
Class costume[edit]
Reaching level 25 unlocks that class' costume/skin to be used by any member of your party.
Titles[edit]
After a certain amount of levels in each class you will gain titles you can display in front of your party name in the chat.
Tier 1 Classes[edit]
There are 3 tier one classes, immediately available when you start playing. They are the roots of the 3 classtrees.
Warrior[edit]
A simple and straightforward melee fighter, balanced in offense and defense. Can act as a tank while still dishing out some damage, as well as healing themselves for a small amount of HP when things get tough. They are also able to improve the physical attack power of the party, which make them invaluable in physical damage heavy parties.
Scout[edit]
Nimble and dexterous, this versatile class can fight from any position in the battlefield, buff their allies and even apply first-aid healing on anyone. Able to dodge strikes and guarantee that the party members hit their mark, the Scout is a true asset to the team, able to fill many roles.
Apprentice[edit]
Born with a knack for all things magical, Apprentices are well versed on the introductory level spells of several magic schools: elemental; arcane; divine. Acts as both a magic damage dealer and a healer, adjusting on the fly for whatever the party currently needs.
Tier 2 Classes[edit]
Knight[edit]
This class path leans heavily towards bulkiness, improving every aspect the Warrior had on this trait, and adding on top of it the ability to draw attention from enemies and make them target them instead of their allies.
Mercenary[edit]
Throwing caution to the wind, this fighter focuses on dealing as much damage as they can, in as little time as possible. Forsakes the healing ability and is left with just the most basic level of HP improvement, but in return, gets natural counter attack, further improves the physical attack of the party, and gets a lot of damage options in their arsenal.
Archer[edit]
No matter how far they run, no enemy is out of reach for this marksman. Gaining the ability to quickly fire more than once, buff his own attacks and maintaining his great accuracy skills, this class guarantees their hits do not miss.
Rogue[edit]
Choosing the route of fighting their enemies up and close, the swift Rogue employs a variety of underhanded tactics. Able to utilize poisons to their advantage, incapacitate the enemies and then hitting them with multiple quick strikes before vanishing from their sight.
Mage[edit]
Focusing their studies on the most primitive, raw type of magic, the Mage controls the elements and mana itself at will. With such control, they can cast bolts of the element of their choosing, that can inflict several ailments to their enemies, or even create a protective barrier of mana to shield them from harm.
Sorcerer[edit]
Abandoning the realms of natural magic, the Sorcerer digs deep into the heart of arcane magic. They are a non-elemental, utility focused mage, and their studies make for a very mana efficient spellcaster, with still enough arcane knowledge to pack a punch when needed.
Acolyte[edit]
A practitioner of divine magic, that brings forth holy energies to aid their allies. Has stronger healing capabilities and ways to strengthen the party's defenses, as well as a rudimentary attack spell.
Tier 3 Classes[edit]
Sentinel Paladin Berserker Ravager Sniper Arrowslinger Assassin Phantom Wizard Shaman Alchemist Arcane Mage Priest Druid
