The Pious Protector

Full heartedly dedicated to faith, the Priest can keep the party alive and kicking like no other. With a vast assortment of skills to heal, restore and protect the party, as well as a few offensive options, higher powers guide this heavenly warrior to be the ultimate support.

When survival matters most, the Priest answers the call. They possess the most comprehensive healing toolkit in the game, from powerful single-target Benediction to party-wide Prayer of Healing. Their Resurrection skill can bring fallen allies back from KO, while Divine Intervention and Sacred Immunity provide defensive buffs that keep the party standing. For offense, Heavenly Beam delivers holy damage with a chance to blind, and Dispel strips buffs from entire enemy formations.


Unlock

Priest is a tier 3 class that is unlocked by leveling the Acolyte class to level 40. As all T3 classes, it retains all of the previous T2 and T1 classes' skills.


Pros and Cons

Comparisons are made considering classes from the same tier

Priests are the undisputed masters of healing and party sustain. Benediction combines massive single-target healing with offensive buffs, while Prayer of Healing keeps the entire party topped off. Resurrection is unique - no other class can revive fallen allies mid-combat.

Their defensive buffs are equally impressive: Divine Intervention boosts party defenses, Sacred Immunity provides status protection, and Cleanse passively removes debuffs when healing. Transcendence enhances their WIS Healing and provides critical bonuses.

Stats

Priests scale primarily with WIS for WIS Healing and MP regeneration. INT provides M.Atk for Heavenly Beam, while DEX helps with S.Atk for status effects.

WIS is paramount - it directly powers all healing abilities and provides MP sustain. INT adds damage to Heavenly Beam. DEX ensures Blind and Dispel land consistently.

VIT provides survivability - a dead healer heals no one. AGI offers speed for more healing actions.

  • For maximum healing:
Stack WIS as high as possible.  Transcendence further amplifies WIS Healing. Add VIT for survivability so you can keep healing.
  • For a battle Priest:
Balance WIS and INT. Use  Heavenly Beam for damage while maintaining healing capability. DEX helps land Blind.
  • For debuff-focused support:
WIS primary with DEX secondary for  Dispel effectiveness. Focus on stripping enemy buffs while keeping the party healthy.

The default script prioritizes keeping allies alive:

  1. Steps toward knocked out allies who are far away
  2. Uses Resurrection on knocked out allies
  3. Uses Prayer of Healing when team HP is low
  4. Uses Benediction on allies below 40% HP
  5. Uses Divine Intervention when no buff is active and MP is above 40%
  6. Uses Sacred Immunity when no buff is active and MP is above 40%
  7. Uses Dispel on buffed enemies when 5+ enemies present and MP is above 50%
  8. Uses Benediction on allies below 70% HP
  9. Uses Heavenly Beam on non-gathering enemies when MP is above 50% (1 round cooldown)

Ideas and Suggestions

These are all suggestions, you can't have 1 script which is perfect for every hunt, gear or playstyle

  • Resurrection has only 1 range - position carefully or use step commands to reach fallen allies
  • Benediction also grants offensive buffs - use it on damage dealers before big attacks
  • Prayer of Healing is less efficient than Benediction but covers the whole party
  • Keep Divine Intervention active for party-wide defense bonuses
  • Dispel is devastating against buffed enemies - prioritize when facing buff-heavy foes
  • Cleanse triggers automatically on heals - focus on healing debuffed allies
  • Position in the backline for safety while maintaining healing range

Benediction

A very powerful short range single target healing and buffing spell that can heal the worst of wounds and empower their ally's next move. Enhanced by Healing Touch and Heal. The healing formula is: Healing Touch healing + Heal healing + (0~6 depending on skill level) * (1.0 WIShealing). Also grants +20~30 P.Atk, M.Atk and Hit to the target for 1 round.

Transcendence

Ultimately increases WIS Healing by +0.1 and MP regeneration by +0.1 per level, as well as receiving heavenly good luck adding +0.1 C.Chance, +0.1 C.Negate and +0.2 C.Defense per level, for a total of 10 WIS Healing, 10 MP Regen, 10 C.Chance, 10 C.Negate and 20 C.Defense at max level. Levels up on idle action in battle.

Divine Intervention

Stronger defensive party buff. Further increases the physical and magical defenses of each party member. Enhanced by Divine Protection, adding +5~10 P.Def and +4~8 M.Def on top of it, depending on skill level, for total possible 20 P.Def, 16 M.Def for 10~15 rounds.

Heavenly Beam

A gleaming ray of heavenly force with a chance to blind its target. The chance to apply Blind depends on S.Atk. Enhanced by Holy Light. Skill level adds 0~50% M.Atk plus 0~50% WIS Healing bonus damage on top of Holy Light's damage for a total of 120~210% M.Atk and 0~100% WIS Healing bonus damage. Adds 0~10 additional HIT and 0~10 bonus S.Atk, for a possible total of 30 HIT and 20 S.Atk, with Blind lasting 2~5 rounds inherited from Holy Light.

Resurrection

Channels the Holy Grace and brings a character back to life, with most wounds gone. Enhanced by Reanimation and Heal. Takes an ally out of KO'd state and heals them for 5~10% from Reanimation's level and 0~15% from Resurrection's level of their max HP (max total of 25%), plus the equivalent of a Heal worth of healing. Can be used on a living ally and will only heal their HP.

Passive ability. When using any healing ability, there is a chance to remove debuffs from the healed ally. Full party heals have half the chance. With basic effectiveness 45% chance and 4 debuffs. At maximum level 85% chance and 9 debuffs. Removes: disarm, blind, pinned, mocking shout, stunned, provoked, soaked, shocked, frozen, greased. Cannot be leveled up with Prayer of Healing. Levels up by casting healing abilities.
