Mercenary is a tier 2 class that is unlocked by leveling the Warrior class to level 30. They are often motivated by financial and/or personal gains and are not necessarily bound by any particular code of ethics of loyalty. As such, they are known for being opportunistic and willing to take on any well-paying jobs. This is reflected in their combat style where they are known for taunting and riling up their opponents. They use this tactic to try goad their enemies into making mistakes or acting recklessly. Instead of taking on more difficult opponent, they might opt to wrangle a more vulnerable target, dragging them to the front line of battle in order to take them out easily. They will not hesitate to counterattack when you show any sort of openings in your attacks. While Mercenary may not always be the most honorable or trustworthy warriors, they are skilled at what they do and can be a valuable asset in any conflict.

Ideas and Suggestions

These are all suggestions, you can't have 1 script which is perfect for every hunt and every gear

  • Prioritize Low Sweep when facing multiple enemies to maximize AoE damage
  • Use Bounty Wrangle to pull in ranged enemies or to finish off weakened foes
  • Vicious Strike is your primary single-target damage ability
  • Keep Battle Roar active for the party-wide P.ATK boost
  • Use Second Wind when your HP is low to maintain survivability
  • For boss fights, consider adjusting the script to focus more on single-target damage
  • When farming, you might want to prioritize AoE skills more aggressively

Vicious Strike

active | attack | single target

A ruthless melee attack, focused on damage output. Enhanced by Bash, adding 0~50% P.Atk on top of it. Damage ranges from 130~200% P.Atk, increased by both skills levels. Cannot be used with Bows and Crossbows.

Battle Roar

Low Sweep

A wide ranging blow, that sweeps the feet of all enemies in front of the attacker, with a chance of pinning them on the spot. Deals 80~120% P.Atk damage, and has 0~10 bonus S.Atk. Requires a melee 2 handed weapon to be used.

Far reaching skill that deals damage and pulls the target closer to the attacker, depending on S.Atk. Damage ranges from 100~140 P.Atk and has 10~30 bonus S.Atk.
