Home Town/Market

The Market is a player-driven trading hub in Roidle where players can buy and sell items with each other. The Market operates on a buy order and sell order system, allowing players to either trade immediately or list items for future transactions.

Overview

The Market features three main sections accessible via tabs at the top of the interface:

Buy - Browse and purchase items listed by other players
Sell - List items for sale or sell directly to existing buy orders
My Orders - Manage your active buy and sell orders and view transaction history

All transactions in the Market use Zenny as currency and include a 5% market fee on all sales.

Market Slots

Players have a limited number of market slots available for active orders, displayed as "Market slots available: X / 30" in the order creation screens. Each active buy or sell order occupies one slot. Once an order is completed or cancelled, the slot becomes available again for new orders.

Buy Tab

The Buy tab displays all active sell orders from other players. Items are listed with the following information:

Item name and icon - The item being sold, with refinement level and quantity displayed on the icon
Duration - Time remaining before the listing expires (e.g., "28d 11h")
Price - The cost per item in Zenny

Filtering Options

The Buy tab includes several filters to help find specific items:

Search bar - Search for items by name
Type - Filter by item category
Refinement - Filter by refinement level
Tier - Filter by item tier
Affixes - Filter by item affixes/properties

Making a Purchase

To buy an item from the Market:

Click on the item you wish to purchase
Review the item details and price
Confirm the purchase
The item will be delivered to your inventory and Zenny will be deducted from your balance

Sell Tab

The Sell tab shows all active buy orders from other players looking to purchase items. This allows you to sell items instantly to players who have already committed to buying at their specified price.

Items shown include:

Item name and icon - What the buyer is looking for, with quantity displayed
Duration - Time remaining before the buy order expires
Price - The amount the buyer is offering in Zenny per item

Selling to Buy Orders

To sell directly to a buy order:

Navigate to the Sell tab
Find a buy order that matches an item in your inventory
Click on the order and select the items you wish to sell
Confirm the sale
You'll receive Zenny immediately, minus the 5% market fee

My Orders Tab

The My Orders tab is your personal order management interface, divided into three sections:

Creating Orders

Two buttons at the top allow you to create new orders:

Sell order - List an item from your inventory for sale
Buy order - Create a request to purchase items at your specified price

Active Orders

Displays all your currently active market orders:

Active sell orders - Items you've listed for sale

Shows item icon, price, quantity, and time remaining
Can be cancelled to return items to your inventory

Active buy orders - Purchase requests you've created

Shows the item requested, price offered, and time remaining
Can be cancelled to refund your Zenny

The active orders section displays how many order slots you're currently using (e.g., "Active orders (5 / 30)").

Transactions

A complete history of your completed market activities, showing:

Item sold or purchased
Buyer/seller name (shown as "Sold to: [Player]")
Full price received/paid in Zenny
Market fee charged (displayed in parentheses)
Transaction date and time

Creating a Sell Order

To list an item for sale:

Click the "Sell order" button in the My Orders tab
Select the item(s) from your inventory you wish to sell
The "List item" dialog will appear with the following fields:
- Price per item - Set your asking price in Zenny
- Item amount - Number of items to list
- Will receive on successful order - Total Zenny you'll receive (after market fee)
- Market fee (5%) - The fee deducted from the sale
- Market slots available - Shows remaining order slots (e.g., "25 / 30")
Click "Create sell order" to confirm

Your items will be removed from your inventory and listed on the Market until they sell or the listing expires.

Creating a Buy Order

To create a purchase request:

Click the "Buy order" button in the My Orders tab
Search for the item you want to purchase
The "Buy order" dialog will appear with the following fields:
- Price per item - Set how much you'll pay per item in Zenny
- Item amount - Number of items you want to buy
- Total price - Total cost for all items
- Market fee (5%) - Fee added to your purchase
- Need to pay for the order - Total Zenny required (items + fee)
- Market slots available - Shows remaining order slots (e.g., "25 / 30")
Click "Create buy order" to confirm

The required Zenny will be reserved from your balance. When a seller fulfills your order, the items will be delivered to your inventory.

Market Fees

All Market transactions include a 5% market fee that applies to both buyers and sellers:

Sellers pay 5% of the sale price when their items sell
Buyers pay an additional 5% on top of the listed price when creating buy orders

The market fee is automatically calculated and displayed before confirming any transaction.

Tips

Check both Buy and Sell tabs to compare prices before listing items
Sell orders allow you to set your own price but may take time to sell
Selling to buy orders provides instant Zenny but at the buyer's price
Use filters to quickly find specific items, especially when searching for items with particular refinement levels or tiers
Monitor your active orders regularly, as listings expire after several days
